every day,
i wake up,
look around,
and see your face.

even when
we are apart,
i see your face
before me,

a ghostly
vision of
your perfection,
i long for reality.

when we are not near,
i think of you all through the day,
i miss the things you do
and the sweet things you say.

but in my mind i remember
the truth behind it all
that memory is poor substitute
for the true, wonderful you.

we may not be apart for long,
but moments feel like eternity,
the days pass by so slowly
in spite of my desire to see you.

a love as strong as this
is a blessing in this world,
